Video title card of teacher smiling in profile pictureTeacher trainer and Fulbright alum Dr. Muhammad Nazir Amir worked alongside colleagues at the Singaporean Ministry of Education to develop a new series of short instructional videos for teachers highlighting student engagement strategies as part of the Relevant, Appealing, and Personal (RAP) pedagogical approach. As the series host, Nazir provides an introduction to the RAP framework, which he researched as part of his 2016-2017 Fulbright Teacher Exchange at Indiana University. The videos gained over 2,500 views in their first six weeks.

Since his Fulbright Teacher Exchange, Nazir has shared his research on the RAP framework with fellow educators in Singapore and as a volunteer in Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. He notes that “the Fulbright experience, including local and interstate school visits, attending seminars, and auditing classes, helped me gain a plethora of new ideas to bring back to fellow teachers and students in Singapore and beyond."

Dr. Muhammad Nazir Amri is an alum of the 2016-2017 Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program for International Teachers, Singapore to United States.
